Protein got loud
Shelves filled with 30g claims, proprietary blends and flavor names that promised dessert and delivered chalk.
Our Story
PROLETE was born in the locker room, not a boardroom. When even one of the most disciplined eaters in the building could not hit his protein numbers with what was on the shelf, the answer was not another shake - it was a foundational food that could keep up with real life. Something that tasted good enough to want, versatile enough to go anywhere, and clean enough that athletes and their families could trust every ingredient.
We were not trying to build a supplement company. We were trying to make the one thing we already had to take every day something we would genuinely miss if it were gone.
Why Choose Us
Shelves filled with 30g claims, proprietary blends and flavor names that promised dessert and delivered chalk.
Almost nobody published what was actually in the tub. We had spent careers being tested — we wanted our protein tested too.
Athletes do not quit protein because of macros. They quit because the eleventh shake of the week tastes like the first ten.
One formula engineered to work as a fast shake and a spoonable mousse, so the habit survives the boredom.

Shane’s built his career the way he built his athletic one — through grit, discipline, and a refusal to accept the odds as given. A multi-year letterman and All Mountain West Scholar Athlete at San Jose State University, Shane’s went on to sign as an undrafted free agent with the New York Giants, earning a spot on the active roster through sheer determination.
That same drive carried him into Silicon Valley, where he built Cloudwerx into a two-time Google Partner of the Year consulting firm. But Shane’s never lost sight of the discipline and fuel that got him to the NFL in the first place — or the gap he saw between what elite athletes had access to and what everyday people trying to stay fit and strong could actually find on a shelf.
That gap is what led him to co-found ProLete Labs. Shane's vision isn't just to build a product for high-performance athletes — it's to give everyday fitness enthusiasts a simple, foundational way to hit their protein goals throughout the day. Based in San Jose, CA, Shane’s is building ProLete for his two kids — to show them firsthand that something built from scratch can become a legacy.

Jason has spent his life turning raw talent into records, and records into results. Drafted by the Cleveland Indians out of high school, he chose college instead — becoming a three-time all-conference standout and 1990 All-American at the University of Portland, and later a University of Portland Athletic Hall of Fame inductee.
His entrepreneurial career carried the same drive. As co-founder and CEO of Blue Chip, Jason built a business supplying server infrastructure to fast-growing Silicon Valleycompanies, scaling it to roughly $100M in annual run rate before it was acquired as part of a roll-up valued at approximately $2 billion. He went on to co-found and lead CloudWerx as CEO — a second successful venture that became a Google Cloud Partner of the Year within its first five years.
Now Jason is channeling three decades of competitive and entrepreneurial instinct into ProLete Labs — built on the idea that protein should actually taste incredible, and hitting yourdaily macros shouldn't be complicated. That competitive drive runs in the family: his sons Jake and Jordan Geis both compete in Division I college athletics, with Jake playing toward a first pro contract and Jordan competing at Santa Clara after starting his career at UCLA.
